From TechniSat the HDTV receiver for satellite television HD8-S will receive a successor. The new HD8+ supports the new disputed HDTV platform HD+ of SES ASTRA, on which the private transmitters RTL hp, VOX hp, Sat.1 hp, Pro7 hp and cable unity hp will coded radiate their HDTV transmitters starting from the autumn 2009 and/or at the beginning of 2010.
