It might seem next to impossible to achieve those shampoo-ad like tresses, but before you get into the kind of hairstyles you can opt for, ensure your hair is in top condition. And going with hot oil treatments, followed by a mild shampoo and conditioner, isn’t even asking for so much.

As far as styles are concerned, freelance hairstylist Linnea Vall suggests opting for a ‘beehive’. “Curl your hair, but ensure the tips are done well. Comb back the roots almost abruptly, following the height of the beehive you wish to get, and if you’re heading for a fancy event, just add an interesting headpiece,” she advises. For a day look, “spray in some salt water spray, comb it back a bit, and let a few tendrils fall on your ears, forehead and neck,” she adds. If you’re feeling particularly lazy though, just tie up your hair in a sleek and neat chignon — which works great because it elongates your neck and gives you a more regal appearance.
